What's Going On?

Each new day brings an opportunity to do some little things that will help to make a better world... (Twenty-Four Hours A Day, 24 November)

******

What's going on?

In the past the news media and advertising have made a big deal out of the so-called, Black Friday. The day after Thanksgiving when the merchants try to entice all of us into their stores to purchase all kinds of over-priced and meaningless junk to give each other as gifts thirty days later.

This year there's a new and very much un-needed trend. The stores are open on Thanksgiving Day. I think it's called Gray Thursday. Does this mean that next year we can expect the after Christmas sales to begin on Christmas Day? Write it down that I said it's a possibility. I want everyone to remember that I said it first.

Thanksgving

I will thank you, Lord, with all my heart; I will tell of all the marvelous things you have done. Psalm 9:1

It is good to give thanks to the Lord, to sing praises to the Most High. It is good to proclaim your unfailing love in the morning, your faithfulness in the evening. Psalm 92:1-2

When I learn your righteous laws, I will thank you by living as I should? Psalm 119-7

There are many ways to show your thankfulness to the Lord - through praise, prayer, singing, worship, giving, obedience, and service. Like you, God loves to hear a simple "thank you."

Give thanks to the Lord and proclaim his greatness. Let the whole world know what he has done. 1 Chronicles 16:8

In a world of liars, cheats, deceivers, and con-artists, isn't it a relief to know there is Someone you can trust? If He said it, you can count on it.
