Where I've Been

I haven't been able to get online since the beginning of the month.  After a storm came through our phone went dead.  To make a long story short, after a couple of failures to understand what broke I discovered that there wasn't a problem with the phone system or the modem card in the computer.  Rather, the headset phone that I had beside the computer apparently was the culprit.  For now I have the phone line coming from the basement connected directly to the computer.

O God of Mercy, guide us toward spiritual growth.

We look to You, O Lord, for strength and guidance in all we do. (Moravian Daily Texts, 9 June)

O Lord, give me the grace to do well those things that I have been called to do.

Teach me to live, so I will always be ready to die.  (Three Minutes a Day, Vol. 9, 18 February)

Lord, help me to avoid extremes and learn moderation.

Lord, help me to keep from dreaming up "if only" scenarios in my mind. (Joni Tada, More Precious Than Silver, 27 May)
