Attitude
Thank You, Lord, for helping me to change my attitude toward things I need to do.
Help me to find a bit of gladness in all things.

This Day
Father, please give me the strength to
go through this [day] with a good attitude.
go through this [day] with a good attitude.
Help me to keep my joy.
Help me to keep my peace.

Pain of the World
Forgive us if this day we have done or said anything to increase the pain of the world.
Pardon
- the judgmental attitude,
- the unkind word,
- the impatient gesture,
- the hard and selfish deed,
- the failure to show sympathy and kindly help
Amen.

What Seems To Be The Problem?
When facing problems, remember that it is useless to look for someone to blame or criticize. Instead, consider how you can help find a solution.
(The One Year Book Of Bible Readings, 17 October)
I pray for the wisdom to take a rational and tolerant attitude toward whatever troubles I must face each day.

The End
If we lived each day as though it would be our last one on earth, wouldn't we have a different attitude?

Daniel Prayed
(Daniel) knelt down on his knees three times that day, and prayed and gave thanks before his God, as was his custom since early days. (Daniel 6:10)
It isn't the length of time I spend in my quiet time, though I usually take an hour, but there is a carry-over of the activity of prayer, the attitude of prayer, that marks the rest of the day. (Stephen Olford)(Quotes from Journey by David Jeremiah, 24 March) 24 March 2013)

Courage To Be Decisive
Sustaining God, grant me the courage to be decisive as I scrutinize my conduct, the company I keep, and the influences that shape my attitude and my thinking. (Les Dahl in The Upper Room Disciplines - 2003, 27 September) 12 February 2013

Your Servant Is Listening
Prayer enables us to have the attitude that says, "Speak for your servant is listening." (1 Samuel 3:10 - in Every Day Light by Selwyn Hughes, p. 385)

Attitude Control
Lord, I refuse to let my attitude be controlled by regrets and worries that reflect a lack of trust in You. My goal is to take every thought captive and destroy any thought that contradicts my knowledge of You. Through the power of Your Holy Spirit, I pray that you will enable me to do this.
